I think that every parent who has a high school graduate needs a bumper sticker that says, "My Child Graduated...And I Am Still Alive!" lol

What a ride this has been!
My teen daughter graduated had her graduation party yesterday afternoon, and by the time the guests arrived, I was already exhausted. Hubby and I had mowed, trimmed, weeded, and painted the deck the day before. And, of course, no one saw it because we all stayed inside! But, it still looked pretty when they viewed it from the deck doors! HA!
Then, I sent the family to church yesterday and tried to keep my migraine in check. Oh Wow!! My head was hurting! But, I managed to pull the party together, with hubby and teen son's help....teen daughter, The Graduate, was busy stressing about how to arrange the cake table and all her Senior memorabilia...she was off in her own little world and I just left her there! We barely got everything arranged and the guests started showing up. We had an open house from 2-4, and everyone that we invited came. I was so happy that teen daughter had such a nice turn out. She was thrilled with everyone that came, with all of her gifts, and she is already planning what to purchase with the nice stash of cash that she received.
Graduation is only the beginning of her journey.....But, for now, she is "living in the moment" and I am right there with her....Tired and Exhausted, but right there with her!!! :)

That is going to be me on Saturday! Only we're doing it all in one day - ceremony from 2-4:30, small reception at church and then on to the party from 6-? I am going to be fried!!! Glad you survived! Pray that I do!
