I was having so much fun and then, WHAM!! Monday sneaked in!! Drats. And, I was having such a lovely weekend!
Oh well, all good things must come to an end eventually! :)
Did all of you have a good weekend? If so, what did you do? I did some of this and some of that, but really didn't accomplish alot. I'm not sure why. Today, now, I have to really stop procrastinating and get some work done.
So, this is my plan for today:

Did all of you have a good weekend? If so, what did you do? I did some of this and some of that, but really didn't accomplish alot. I'm not sure why. Today, now, I have to really stop procrastinating and get some work done.
So, this is my plan for today:
- Stop Procrastinating! Christmas IS coming!
- Get sugar cookies made
- Get presents wrapped that are hidden in the van (oops...hope daughter doesn't read this! HA!)
- Finish steam cleaning son's bedroom carpet
- Finish sending out Christmas cards
- Get coupons and list ready for grocery shopping tomorrow
- Take son to dr. appointment
- Try and stay sane
There you have it....my list for today. I wonder if I'll be able to get it accomplished!
Here is my favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe: Enjoy!!
Ingredients Here is my favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe: Enjoy!!
1 cup sugar (I like to use 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar)
1 cup butter (can substitute margarine)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup vegetable oil (NOT olive oil!)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
4 1/8 cups flour
Directions
- Cream sugar, butter, powdered sugar, and oil.
- Then cream in eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl mix baking soda, cream of tartar, and flour.
- Start adding dry ingredients to creamed ingredients less than 1 cup at a time.
- Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours.
- Drop 1-2" balls on the cookie sheet.
- If you would like, you can flatten the balls with the bottom of a drinking glass that has been dipped in sugar.
- Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are browned.
You can also sprinkle on cinnamon and sugar, colored sugar sprinkles , etc.
This makes quite a large batch, so if you don't want as many, cut the recipe into 1/2.
And just what are your plans after Noon? Lol! Are you crazy? How can you possibly get all that done in 1 day?
