Catchy title, huh?!! Today is the start of teen son's Marching Band Camp...and that means the start of me working in the Band Room for the next 8 days! WHOPPEE!!

Seriously, I love interacting with the students and seeing them progress throughout the week. Today we will be fitting the incoming Freshman for their uniforms, and this is QUITE the DEAL! Most of them are amazed at just how heavy the jackets actually are and how constricting the collar is. But, once they've marched in them a time or two, they get used to it.

This year's show is going to be "Pictures at an Exhibition," and I found this band, on YouTube, to give you all a taste of what this music sounds like. (This is the 2003 Roxbury High School Marching Band)



I won't have as much time to post as I normally do, because I am going to be out of the house most of the day. If it is anything like last year, by the time I drag myself in, I'll be too tired to even stand! HA!

So, if I am ignoring any of you this week, just know that after next Wed., I'll be back for a few days, and then we go on our vacation to CHICAGO to the Air & Water Show. Just gotta make it through Band Camp...... :)

Personally, I know that I am going to do the Vitamin Shampoo and the toothbrush deal, so I can get the RR (Register Reward), and also am going to get in on the awesome Skippy peanut butter and Ragu spaghetti sauce deal. If I do manage to make it, somehow, to the Walgreens in the Small Town next to my small town, I'll post what I bought and give you the details on how I worked my transaction to get the most for my money.
